Dresses Size Measure Guide

Bust

• This is different from your Bra Size.
• Wear an unpadded Bra (dresses all have a built-in bra)
• Breathe naturally and have arms relax at sides
• Take your tape and measure around the bust at the fullest point
• Make sure the tape measure is level all the way around
• Remember to keep your index finger between you and the tape to avoid being too tight

Waist

• Measure around the narrowest part of your waist at the natural waistline
• Simply bend to one side to find a crease which is your waistline
• Do not hold your breath. Breathe naturally
• Keep the tape measure parallel to the floor
• Keep the tape slightly loose to leave breathing room

Hips

• Stand naturally with your feet together
• Measure around your hip at your fullest part of your bottom
• Simply record the maxim from a couple of measurements when you are not sure
• Please pay much attention to the hip size when you need a mermaid dress

Hollow to Hem

• Stand straight with bare feet together
• Began at the hollow space between the collarbones and pull tape straight down to where your dress hem should hit(including train if there is one)

Beautiful Quality

I was super impressed at the weight of this dress. It's a lot of fabric and the lace is gorgeous. I'm looking for a winter wedding so would work well even though it has short sleeves. For a summer wedding, you may find yourself quite warm with the thick lining/bra cups and lace- it's a lot of material. I'm 5'6 and weigh 156 pounds. Per my measurements 39-33-42 I ordered a size 14. (I'm normally a size 8/10 dress size.) The top half is nicely structured with built-in bra cups. I would definitely need to get the area under my breasts and waist taken in to make it more flattering to my figure. Although in this photo the dress looks like it fits, my waist is smaller- this dress is cut straight along the waist so alterations would be a must to make it more flattering. I ended up not choosing this dress because I felt that all the pleats just weren't that flattering on me. I really appreciate seeing dresses on "real people" so sharing my photos in hopes that it helps you! Sorry about the messy room and less-than-enthusiastic face! Good luck finding your perfect dress.

Beautiful dress

This dress is beautiful. While I didn't love it on me for the event that I was shopping for, the dress is flattering on a larger body (I am size 22US) and the material is very nice.
